Our client wanted a contrast to their London home. A 'getaway'. The living area brief was to create something original which maintained the existing fixtures eg. fire surround and which required no structural changes. We used a large botanical design mural to emphasise the high ceilings and the exposed structure and to place the property in it's wooded environment. We then used deep high grain wood finishes and a rich blue / grey palette , linen and silks and cut velvets set off against a large deep seated family sofa and crittall style doors. We took this palette into the remaining areas of the property. Using exposed brick in the bathroom with walk through shower and brushed metal bath.
